When Ryuu was young his family and most of his town were murdered by a powerful dark guild. From the rubble of his home he picked up a watch, stopped at the exact time it all started. He keeps the watch in his pocket to this day. During the fight betwen his parents and the dark mages, one dark mages blood splattered into hid eye and his mind became twisted, he became less sympathetic towards everyone's pain. Even now he will sometimes turn and end up putting others through twisted pain. He ran into Crime Sorcerer on his journeys wandering around for a place where he could belong. Meredy taught him her magic, and help sooth his mind and give him mental help, though he is better he will sometimes snap when someone complains of their "horrible" life along with other things. When he was ten he joined Fairy Tail. He was a very strong mage, and still is but has never been asked to take an S-class exam, do to his mental condition. When his mind is in good condition, he can be a great friend, just be careful with your words.
